PegasusKYA
Know Your Agent · free agent-readiness check

Can an agent
buy from you?

AI agents are starting to shop for people. PegasusKYA sends a verified agent to your store and shows you, in about a minute, whether it can find what you sell, get past your bot protection and reach checkout.

Free, no sign-up. Our agent only reads public pages. It never adds to cart, logs in or buys.

Know Your Agent: three questions at the door A shopper sends a signed agent to a store. At the door the store asks who the agent is, who sent it, and what it may do; the agent passes all three and reaches checkout. A bot with no identity is turned away at the first question. A fourth question, how far authority travels when agents hand off to other agents, is still open. 4 · How far does authority travel? Still open. Know Your Agent, at a store's door: who is this agent, who sent it, and what may it do? The fourth question, how far authority travels when agents hand off to other agents, has no settled answer yet.

What we check

Four questions every agent asks your store

01 · Found

Can it read what you sell?

Product data, prices, stock, shipping and return policies, and an agent manifest if you publish one.

02 · Admitted

Does it get in?

We send a signed, verifiable agent and compare it with an unsigned visit, to see what your bot protection does.

03 · Checkout

Can it reach checkout?

A CAPTCHA or a forced login stops an agent cold. We check the path up to payment, and stop there.

04 · Trust

Can it verify you?

A secure site, a clear business identity, contact and policy pages, and a security contact.

Each check scores 0 to 25. 85 and up is Agent-Ready, 60 to 84 is Partial, under 60 is Not ready. A store that turns a verified agent away can't be Agent-Ready.

Why now

The customer can be software now

Agent shopping is still a small share of online sales. It is also growing fast, and the agent traffic stores see is turning into orders more often than it used to.

Most stores' defenses were built to keep bots out, before a legitimate customer could be one. So they fail both ways: they turn good agents away and still let bad ones through.

Getting ready is cheap today. This check shows you where to start.

Our agent plays by the rules
  • ✓ Signs every request, so you can verify it is ours
  • ✓ Reads your robots.txt first, and stops if you say so
  • ✓ Only reads. Never buys, logs in or adds to cart
  • ✓ Goes slowly: one request at a time, a second apart

Questions

What people ask

What is Know Your Agent (KYA)?

KYC asks who the customer is. KYA asks what the agent may bind you to. When an AI agent shops for someone, a store has to answer: who is this agent, who sent it, and what is it allowed to do?

What does the PegasusKYA check do?

It sends a signed, verifiable AI agent to your store and runs four checks: can it read your products and prices (Found), does your bot protection let it in (Admitted), can it reach cart and checkout (Checkout), and can it verify who you are (Trust). You get a score out of 100 and a ranked list of fixes in about a minute.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it's free, and there's no sign-up. Enter a store address and the check runs. You can give an email address if you want the report sent to you.

Will your agent buy anything or change my store?

No. It only reads: your public pages, plus one catalog search if your store advertises a catalog for agents. It never adds to cart, creates an account, logs in, fills in a form or pays, and it reads your robots.txt first.

What does Agent-Ready mean?

A store scores 85 or more out of 100 and doesn't turn a verified agent away. Agent-Ready stores are listed in the public directory and can show a live badge. Stores are rechecked, and a listing lapses after 30 days without a passing check.

Will you publish my store's results if it fails?

No. Only stores that pass are ever shown by name. Other results stay private and are used only in totals that never name a store.

How do I keep your agent out?

Add 'User-agent: PegasusKYA' and 'Disallow: /' to your robots.txt. Our agent stops at that file. To be removed entirely, email [email protected] from your store's domain.
